Good to Know

What is Ottoman coffee?

A light, fragrant take on Turkish coffee brewed with cardamom and spices; the cup our guests love most.

How is dibek coffee served?

With its sherbet and water: a sip of water first, then the coffee, sherbet in between. That is how the taste opens up.

Is the menu available in English or Arabic?

Yes. Our QR menu is in Turkish, English and Arabic, with a photo and description for every item.

Do you serve alcohol?

No. Payedar is a coffee house; we host you with Ottoman coffee, tea, hot chocolate and house lemonades.

How many floors, and is there a view?

Our historic wooden house has three floors; the top floor looks over the Bosphorus and the Üsküdar pier. Let us know in advance for a view table.

Do I need a reservation?

Not required, but for weekends and the top-floor view tables we recommend writing ahead; we keep your table ready.
